Let in Snow, Let it Snow

In previous interviews you said you didn't want to limit who you worked with by getting a contract. What changed your mind and why Sin City?

Aurora Snow - Having Sin City and also Mayhem provides both the hardcore fan base, because that is where a lot of my fans come from, but it also provides me the opportunity to do features as well which is what I really enjoy. I love doing dialogue. So that allows me to keep both fan bases. As far as limiting myself to one company Sin City doesn't limit me as much as say Vivid would since they only do features. Also, I go to school and having a contract allows me to go to school full time and not have to worry about booking work around school since Sin City works with me on that.

Can you tell me the specifics of your contract?

Aurora Snow - Unfortunately the specifics are undisclosed though I think I can say it is for 1 year.

What movies have you done under contract?

Aurora Snow - I did The Bachelor, Exile, After Midnight, Assploitations, which I directed, and currently we are shooting Angels.

Tell me about your directorial debut.

Aurora Snow - Ah much longer than expected. Definitely a learning experience, my first day I expected to be a little longer. We shot 3 scenes. I think it ended up being 12 hours or so. My second day I thought cool we are shooting 2 scenes, easy day; it was just as long as the first day. I understand about talent showing up late and all that sort of stuff now. I also had a really good crew. They helped me out a lot. I learned what to look for and how much I don't know and how much I still have to learn.

Why start directing now?

Aurora Snow - It interests me. And it allows me to not be just a performer and add more dimension to the character Aurora Snow.

What is the one most important thing learned as a first time director?

Aurora Snow - Time management and being more authoritative.

Tell me about your Las Vegas Novelties toy line?

Aurora Snow - I have been with them since December of 2002. I have three of them out a glow in the dark one, a vibrating one and something else. These aren't the ones I designed. I have designs on a lot of the "cat" toys that are coming out. I just got the prototype for the one coming out. It is a little kitty that is sitting up. It's got ears and a whole cat face. It has even got a little tail curled around it and it is a vibrating cat toy. I also have plans for a whole line of "cat" toys. I want to do cat eye anal beads which aren't entirely in the works right now. These are just thoughts and discussions.

Why did you want a toy contract?

Aurora Snow - Actually I never even thought of a toy contract. They said "hey would you like to sign with us?" and I said Okay. I didn't see the harm in it. It wasn't something I had ever thought about and the only thing strange thing that I wasn't sure about was getting myself molded.

Have you done that yet?

Aurora Snow - We haven't done that yet. It seems kind of strange. First of all I couldn't even imagine going through the molding process, I don't even know how that works. And then to have it on the market and to see yourself, I just don't know. Though when I do it I am going to take pictures and get it all on my web site.

What are your next projects?

Aurora Snow - I have another movie to direct which I am still figuring out. It will probably start in the next month or so. Other than that I don't really know.

You were a drama major before you got into adult movies. Did you give much thought to the ramifications of your move into adult? Why or why not?

Aurora Snow - Honestly, it was something I just jumped into or fell into would probably be a better word. I found a newspaper ad looking for easy money didn't actually plan on doing adult movies. Just thought I was going to take off my clothes, take some pictures and make some easy money. As far as the ramifications I kind of figured anything I wanted as far as mainstream and drama was pretty much shot with the adult career.

Considering your acting background why so much emphasis on gonzo movies in your early career?

Aurora Snow - Companies just called me to hire me and I just did it. I did a couple of features for other companies but I kind of have the little girl look so I was mostly in pig tails and braids and did a lot of gonzo.

Which directors that you have worked with did you try to learn from?

Aurora Snow - Honestly, for the type of shooting I was doing I would honestly say Jim Powers. He was actually my camera man on Assploitations as well.

Why do anal?

Aurora Snow - Actually I did a movie for Anabolic GBG #27 and I did a non-anal scene in it. Christopher Alexander wanted me to do anal so bad that he paid to send me to a hypnotist. It didn't work but just the idea that he wanted me to do it that bad that he was willing to and actually did pay to send me to someone made me actually want to try it just so I could do it for his company. I did try it, the first time it hurt the second time it was uncomfortable, the third time it was still uncomfortable but once you get past the first couple of times it starts to feel good.

Why do double anal?

Aurora Snow - It can be an "OW" depending on who you are working with but it is not that much of an "OW". It is more like that you have so much going on and sometimes when you are doing double anal and triple penetrations and stuff everything is just going off in your body and you have so many sensors just kind of shouting out you that you wouldn't feel so much pain but you don't entirely feel pleasure either. It is a mixture. But you can't really put your finger on it.

A lot of the gonzo oriented women in the business strike me as being less business oriented than you are. What makes you different or are you?

Aurora Snow - I am not going to honestly say I am different because I don't know all the girls in the industry. As far as me being separate from them the only thing I can say is that I go to school. I do other things. The industry is a job it is not my life.

Are there limits to you "open mindedness" about sex?

Aurora Snow - Well I don't really get pee'd on in videos at all. I am sure I have a few other ones but until they are asked of me I don't recognize them.

You have said girl-girl sex is "really fun". What makes it fun for you and why?

Aurora Snow - The girl, I don't do very many girl/girl stuff and usually I picky about the girls I work with because it can be really fun when the girls are in the right mood and having the right kind of day. And with the right toys.

Why did you decide to do a Gang Bang movie?

Aurora Snow - Honestly, because Christopher at Anabolic asked me to do it and I had never done it before. So I figured if I had never done it didn't know what it felt like I couldn't say no because I couldn't say I didn't like it so I tried it. And I actually I did a lot of Gang bangs at that time. I thought they were fun. I like being the center of attention.

In your AVN "3 Days" article you kept saying "I am not one of those people". What did you mean by that?

Aurora Snow - When I say "those people" I meant the type of people who go up on stage and win awards. A person who is actually recognized in the adult industry. It still kind of strikes me odd when I get recognized on the street or people say "you are a porn star, you are famous". Because I don't really feel that way at all.

Tell me about Spice Clips.

Aurora Snow - Very fun, very interactive for the viewer. It is 2 hours of phone sex with me on your TV. So you would call up Spice Clips, tell me what you want me to do and watch me live on your TV as I do it. In-between phone calls we show featured adult clips. Spice Clips is kind of the edgier side of Playboy as we are allowed to show 7 seconds of penetration at a time.

There is a time limit?

Aurora Snow - Yes there is. You get 7 seconds of penetration and then there is a face shot or a wide shot so you can't see it and then you can go back to the 7 seconds.
