Shane's World 32 - College Invasion

I got to the Las Palmas Club in Los Angeles about 5 minutes before the party was supposed to start and there was already a line forming at the door from both sides.  Seeing the crowd I started to wonder about getting in but didn't think there was going to be a problem since I was invited but I was soon taught a valuable lesson in party going.  Being on "the list" is only a good thing if the people at the door are actually looking at the list.  So after a 15-20 minute odyssey I finally managed to convince them to check the list and I was on my way in. Upon entering the club I was immediately greeted by the lovely Miss Calli Cox (PR Director for Shane's World) and informed that there was a "private room" for interviews and photographs in the back of the club.  Unfortunately as the night went along the "private" room got less private out of necessity (too many people in the club) so there isn't much to tell about what was going on back there.  Though I did manage to steal a few not so quit minutes with our lovely hostess for a little impromptu interview.  A good time was had by all that I spoke too.  Including two lovely young ladies who said that wanted their pictures posted on ADT even if they weren't porn stars and had no idea what Adult DVD Talk was.

As with most parties the night started slow but as it got later the party definitely picked up steam.  Especially for one pretty young woman who decided that it was fun to tickle me while I was shooting pictures thereby proving the old adage that with enough alcohol anyone can look attractive.  The highlight of the night was when Calli, Boo and a few of the other women from Shane's World took over the pole in the center of the room to put on a little show (sorry guys no nudity) and give out free copies of the DVD and some t-shirts.  Now being a "mainstream" club you wouldn't think there would be all that much interest in this among the "regular" club patrons but this just goes to show how "mainstream" porn is becoming because everyone was trying to get in on the act.   

Among the interesting appearances of the evening was when Maria Conchita Alonso (Predator 2) was spotted in the private section having a drink with her date.  I am uncertain if she knew the nature of the party going on at the club but it did make for some interesting conversations among the other guests.  And a certain gentleman from Rolling Stone who was interested in the "Shane's World phenomena", his words not mine.  Among the "porn" notables at the club were Evil Angel's resident wiz kid Jules Jordan, Wicked Pictures head of DVD David Crawford, Nick Manning, August (who was camera shy), Kiki Daire, Boo, Skye, Brittney Skye, Kaylynn and Cailey Taylor to name a few.

Calli assured me that this is just going to be the first of many public relations events she is working on for Shane's World and I for one can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
