Standup Comic Nails Cliff Huxtable in Not the Cosbys XXX

(Hollywood, CA) A fixture at Sunset Boulevard’s Comedy Store in Hollywood, comedian Thomas Ward is already bursting into the national spotlight with his portrayal of Cliff Huxtable in the soon to be released porn movie Not the Cosbys XXX.

Directed by Will Ryder, the interracial sex comedy is a hot topic on entertainment and news blog sites and is poised to eclipse the sales of porn’s biggest parody movie Not the Bradys XXX when the DVD hits stores next week. All of this is a little bit shocking to a guy who seemed content to quietly write movie scripts and hone his skills as a comedian.

“I didn’t ask for all of this,” Ward said during an interview at a popular eatery on Melrose Avenue. “When I first found out that they were making a porn spoof of the Cosby Show I was like that’s totally crazy,” he said. “But a friend of mine convinced me I should audition and when I got the role I had an entirely new appreciation of porn.”

Ryder said of his star, “Everybody’s asking how we found this guy. I mean his impersonation is so incredible that this just might be the greatest porn parody ever.” X-Play and their DVD distribution partner LFP Video is preparing for record-breaking opening sales numbers and if you look at YouTube as a prognosticator of future sales, 200,000 views in just a few weeks bodes well for how this adult movie will perform. www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2nZUn4t7nE

Ward was a comedian in his hometown Detroit when he decided to make his fame and fortune in Hollywood. His improve group The OTHA LEVEL made a really big initial splash on a number of TV shows which resulted in a production deal with Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment but soon that fell flat.

“We were killin’ it and things looked great but as many Hollywood stories go, reality often bites you in the ass,” Ward lamented. Sidetracked but not defeated, Ward continued to perform with his cast-mates and seriously worked at perfecting his comedic craft by hitting the road and appearing on TV shows like the Def Comedy Jam.

Currently writing and working his standup routine Ward has found time to become a filmmaker albeit not of the porn variety. “Ironically, the first script that I wrote in early 2000 is about a guy trying to get into porn,” he said with his contagious laugh. It’s about this dude who is a classically trained actor just fucking around making some big mistakes and gets hooked up with a girl who really makes things happen. Now I find myself in a big porno just like dude so be careful what you ask for because you might just get it,” he joked.

Joking is a way of life for Ward and enjoying the LA lifestyle and all the beautiful women in the city is something this thirty-something appreciates. “I love the girls with the big butts like Flower Tucci and the Milfs. I’m a milf-lover. If she’s got a big fat juicy ass, I’ve probably dug her before. I dig Alexis Texas and some of those hot girls.”

Ward started watching porn in the old days and the first chick he remembers jerking off to was from Flesh Dance with John Leslie, Ron Jeremy and Rachel Ashley in 1983. “That was some good stuff back then,” he reminisced.

Little did he predict that he would be presenting an award at one of the industry’s biggest porn movie award shows when he took the stage with Sunny Lane at the recent X.R.C.O. Awards in Hollywood. “That was so cool being in front of all of those porn people and watching them do their thing. I really had a great time,” he said.

With Not the Cosbys XXX hitting stores in a week, Ward has never met Bill Cosby but has serious respect for the legend. “He’s done his thing for decades and he stays up on stage for hours and that really takes stamina. He is an icon but I never really watched the Cosby Show growing up but I think shows like 227 were more like the type of family I knew. Everybody was just working hard to survive but I respect what the Cosby TV show stood for,” he concluded.

Thomas Ward is amused by the wide range of comments that Not the Cosbys XXX are generating coast-to-coast. “This is not the end-all be-all, it’s just a very funny porno with hot girls and we don’t mean to hurt anybody’s feelings. I really think you will enjoy this movie.”
