2009 AVN Awards Nominees

LOS ANGELES, CA (DECEMBER 2, 2008 THE AZURIX GROUP) - Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that it has received over ninety combined 2009 AVN Nominations. Nearly seventy of the mentions speak to the richness and variety of their in-house productions, while the rest recognize the excellence of the outside lines distributed by the company like Abby Winters, Video Marc Dorcel, and the adult / mainstream crossover movie All About Anna.
Eighteen of Wicked's in-house productions received nominations, with forty mentions alone going to the company's acclaimed trio of Fall blockbusters - The Wicked, Fallen, and Race 2 Race. Michael Raven's epic horror adventure The Wicked led the way with 20 major noms, while Brad Armstrong's stylish gothic fantasy Fallen followed closely with 16 nominations. Armstrong's sexy videogame-inspired interracial spectacular Race 2 Race received four additional noms.
Raven's darkly erotic terror opus emerged as a genuine critical hit for the company, receiving such important nominations as Best Video Feature, Best Director - Feature, Best High Definition Production, Best Actress (Kaylani Lei), Best Actor (Barrett Blade), Best Videography (Francois Clousot) and Best Supporting Actress (Stormy Daniels). Wicked Girls Mikayla Mendez and Kaylani also shared a Best Group Sex Scene nom with several other performers for the movie's torrid five-way.
Armstrong's Fallen scored such significant noms as Best Director - Feature, Best High-Definition Production, Best Actor (Brad Armstrong), Best Actress (jessica drake), Best Videography (Michael Raven and Francois Clousot), and Best Double Penetration Sex Scene (jessica drake, Brad Armstrong, and Eric Masterson).
Gorgeous Fallen star drake also received a much-deserved Female Performer Of The Year mention, and director Armstrong's wickedly imaginative Race 2 Race was recognized with a quartet of noms - Best Interracial Release, Best Make-Up, Best DVD Menus, and Best DVD Extras. With this track record, it comes as little surprise that Armstrong fittingly earned a Director Of The Year nomination as well.
Wicked Girls Kirsten Price and Alektra Blue shared a Best All-Girl Three-Way Sex Scene nomination with Lexxi Tyler for Armstrong's Cockstar, and Kirsten also received a well-deserved Best Actress mention for her fine work in Mouth.
Wicked contract actress, director, and mainstream crossover personality Stormy Daniels' received a Best All Girl Release nomination for her smash hit Predator 2: The Return, which she wrote, shot, and starred in. Her influence on the Pop Culture zeitgeist was once again recognized with a much-deserved nom for the Jenna Jameson Crossover Star Of The Year award.
Another Stormy project, Wicked contract actor/director Randy Spears' Two, earned a Best Actor nod for Marcus London, while Spears himself received nominations for Best Actor (The Last Rose) and Male Performer Of The Year. Another project helmed by Spears, The Housewives of Amber Lane, scored a mention in the newly minted Best M.I.L.F. Release category.
Veteran adult visionary Jonathan Morgan once again made his mark with an eclectic group of nominations that spoke to the diversity of his talent. Fired saw Morgan's legendary gift for hardcore humor earning the project Best Sex Comedy, Best Actress (Carmen Hart) and Best Supporting Actress (Katie Morgan) noms, while his excellent all-sex epic Se7en Deadly Sins earned nominations for Best Vignette Release, Best Art Direction, and Best Anal Sex Scene (Eva Angelina and Tom Byron).
Mark Stone's best-selling Reform School Girls was rewarded with a nomination for Best Continuing Series, while his Kung Fu Nurses A Go Go earned a Best Sex Comedy nom.
Having received nearly seventy nominations for excellence in the many areas of direction, performance, eroticism, and design, it should come as little surprise that Wicked's 2009 mentions concluded with some well-deserved recognition in the Best Overall Marketing Campaign - Company Image category.
