LOS ANGELES, CA (MAY 8, 2008 THE AZURIX GROUP) - “Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make...” First uttered on screen in 1932 by the great Bela Lugosi in Tod Browning's Dracula, those simple words are credited with subtly introducing eroticism into the modern horror film. Now, leading adult industry powerhouse Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that multiple award-winning director Michael Raven (Black Widow, Supernatural) is commencing production on one of the most ambitious projects of his career, a stylish erotic vampire opus entitled The Wicked. This massive project will shoot for seven days in May on locations throughout Los Angeles, Lancaster, and Palmdale, and will take the erotic horror genre to places it has rarely visited in either mainstream or adult entertainment.
A sensual meditation on the vampire mythos that blends elements from such films as Near Dark, The Lost Boys, and From Dusk To Dawn, The Wicked stars recent XRCO award-winning Wicked Girl Kaylani Lei as a young woman who embarks on a desert road trip with her friends, only to see their journey turned into a bloody nightmare when they're attacked by a group of modern-day vampires. The film's intricate, sixty page screenplay was penned by Raven and Jennifer Allison, whose previous collaborations have included Black Widow and Porn Valley.
Ms. Lei is joined in the cast by multiple 2008 award-winner and contract sister Stormy Daniels, as the sexy and mysterious Baby, and Raven will also be showcasing recently-signed Wicked beauties Mikayla Mendez and Alektra Blue. Other cast members confirmed at press time include gorgeous Tori Black from Vouyer Media's recently-shipped Souled Out, Sophia Sante, and exotic fan favorite Roxy Deville.
While the director looks forward to blending shocks and scares with the The Wicked's erotic content, the movie's screenplay is also rich in the kind of nuanced characterization that made Black Widow so memorable. And the story is laced with comc relief that manages to temper the horror without detracting from the suspense.
Filming on this sprawling project is slated to begin May 10th, with other dates scheduled throughout the month.
