LOS ANGELES CA - (FEBRUARY 4, 2008 DM/PR ) - With the 25th Annual AVN Awards wrapped a mere three weeks ago, Canoga Park-based Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that their talented contract stars, directors, and technicians have received nearly 40 additional awards and nominations from the other voting bodies who‘ve been quick to celebrate the company’s ongoing commitment to excellence.
Respected online retailer Adult DVD Empire’s recently announced 2007 Empire Awards nominations saw the company’s product receiving over twenty mentions. The many nominations include Best Overall DVD (Coming Home, Operation Desert Stormy), Best All-Sex DVD (The Craving, Mobster’s Ball), Best Classic DVD (Flashpoint X), Best Feature DVD (Coming Home, Operation Desert Stormy), Best Foreign DVD (French Connexion, Yasmine: Pornochic 14), Best HD DVD (Curse Eternal), Best DVD Menu Design (The Craving, Operation Desert Stormy), Best DVD Video Quality (Coming Home, Operation Desert Stormy), Best DVD Commentary (Coming Home, Flashpoint X, Operation Desert Stormy), Best DVD Audio Quality (Coming Home, Operation Desert Stormy), Viewers Choice Award (Coming Home, Operation Desert Stormy), Best Compilation DVD Studio, and Best Overall DVD Studio.
In their own best of 2007 round-up, Southern California arts and culture website The Beverly Hills Outlook gave eight awards to Wicked related personalities and releases, including Best Film (Delilah), Best Actor (Randy Spears - Delilah, Candelabra), Best Actress (jessica drake - Delilah), Best Producer (Mark Nicholson - Supernatural), Best Screenplay (Jennifer Allison - Perfect Match), Best Lighting (Lance Boyle - Delilah), Best Art Direction (Just Nipples - Delilah), and Best Costuming (Brad Armstrong - The Craving).
The 2008 XBIZ Awards nominations saw the company and its talent garnering a total of six mentions, including Studio Of The Year, Feature Movie Of The Year (Operation Desert Stormy), Feature Director Of The Year (Stormy Daniels), and Female Performer Of The Year (Carmen Hart, jessica drake, Stormy Daniels). The talent of Carmen and Stormy was also recently celebrated by Cyberspace Adult Video Reviews, who gave contract seductress Carmen Hart MVP Of The Year status for her consistently fine performances, while Stormy was honored with Director Of The Year (Features) for helming such popular movies as Operation Desert Stormy. And finally, the 2008 AEBN VOD Awards saw Coming Home winning Best Feature.
