ON TO VICTORY: Wicked Pictures Ships 1080p HD DVD Edition Of Brad Armstrong's Multiple AVN Award Winning War Epic Coming Home

LOS ANGELES, CA (JANUARY 24, 2008 DM/PR) - Canoga Park based adult entertainment powerhouse Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that it has shipped the HD DVD edition of contract actor/filmmaker Brad Armstrong’s multiple award winning war saga Coming Home. The critically acclaimed movie received three trophies earlier this month at the 25th Annual AVN Awards at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

A triple threat as a writer, director, and performer, Armstrong received a richly deserved Best Actor - Video trophy for his sensitive portrayal in the epic production. AVN also recognized Barrett Blade’s fine work in the movie with a Best Supporting Actor - Video award, and honored the project’s intricate! multi-platform rollout with a trophy for Best Overall Marketing Campaign - Individual Project.

Heralded by many as the finest movie of Armstrong’s career, Coming Home can now be experienced in HD DVD in a brand new, 1080p vc-1 high definition anamorphic widescreen transfer. The soundtrack options include 5.1 Dolby Surround English Audio, and 2.0 Spanish Audio.

Skillfully directed by Armstrong with assistant direction by jessica drake, Coming Home is a thoughtful examination of the Iraq War and its impact on both those who serve and the loved ones they leave behind. The story follows Brian Parsons (Armstrong), a well-liked auto mechanic whose past enlistment comes back to haunt him as he receives the call to serve in the Iraq War. His girlfriend Sarah (Kirsten Price) is devastated by the news, but tries to make the most o f their time left together. After a tearful goodbye, Brian leaves for the Middle East, entrusting his best friend Jimmy (Barrett Blade) to watch over Sarah in his absence. As the days stretch into weeks, and the weeks stretch into months, the only connection Brian has to the world he left behind is found in the letters he and Sarah share. But in an ironic and cruel twist of fate, one of these letters changes all of their lives forever.

From the multi-dimensional, fully developed characters and poignant performances to the explosive battle scenes and searing sexual encounters, Coming Home is an emotional tour de force for the viewer. In addition to the three leads, the carefully chosen cast also includes Shyla Stylez, Brook Banner, Jada Fire, Derrick Pierce, Marcus London, Tyler Knight, and more. The movie has a running time of three hours and features ten sex scenes.

On the eve of Coming Home's HD DVD release, Wicked announced that it is also seriously exploring the Blu-ray DVD format as an additional platform for content delivery. In a prepared statement, Wicked Manager Of DVD Production Jackie Ramos revealed "Wicked has always been interested in Blu-ray, but at the time it was both cost prohibitive and almost impossible to replicate. Recently the tide has changed, and it's become more readily available to us. We plan on moving ahead with a Blu-ray release." This update follows a report from retail research giants the NPD Group that sales of Blu-ray disc players currently comprise 70% percent of all high-def player sales nationwide.

The recipient of an AVN Editor’s Choice review when originally released on DVD last Fall, the HD DVD edition of Coming Home arrives in stores nationwide January 28th.
