Las Vegas, NV - (January 17, 2008 DM/PR) - Whether it was from the awards show stage, the business-to-business marketplace, or in the mainstream media, Wicked Pictures’ superstar contract performers, award-winning directors, and key executives were driven to succeed at the 2008 Adult Entertainment Expo last week in Las Vegas Nevada. The January 9th-12th convention concluded with the 25th Annual AVN Awards Show, which saw the company’s talent winning several major awards and a Hall Of Fame induction.

After a brisk opening day spent greeting their fans on the Sands Expo convention floor, Wednesday evening saw Wicked Girls jessica drake, Kaylani Lei, Carmen Hart, and Kirsten Price appearing at the AEE Opening Night Industry Party, which was co-sponsored by Wicked Pictures at the stylish and popular Rain nightclub in the Palms. The posh high-energy event was extensively covered by entertainment network G4 and is prominently featured in their currently airing coverage of AEE (please consult your local cable listings for dates and times).

Thursday saw Wicked’s contract stars and directors once again heating up the company’s booth, while the company’s senior staff participated in other significant aspects of the show. VP Of Special Projects Joy King turned in a speaking engagement at If You Build It They Will Come: Marketing & Advertising to Grow Your Business, an informative AEE marketing seminar that played to a full house. Meanwhile, VP Of International Sales And Licensing Steven Vlottes and National Sales Manager Bonnie Kail met with existing and future partners throughout the course of the convention. As day turned to night, jessica, Kaylani, Carmen, and Kirsten again became the toast of the town, this time by hosting the Pre-Awards Party for the 25th Annual AVN Awards Show at the Sapphire adult mega-club. During the bash, the enterprising stars were profiled for Naked Wild On, which is expected to air on E! later this month.

Friday saw the Wicked Girls once again in the mainstream media spotlight, with jessica appearing on KLLI Live 105.3 FM while Stormy Daniels taped segments for Southern California’s own KCAL 96.7 FM and Kirsten charmed the listeners of Sirius’ Hardcore Sports Radio. At some point during all the excitement, Brad Armstrong and jessica found the time to head out to the dusty Vegas suburbs to shoot a CSI themed layout for Hot Video to be published next month.

With the company and the lines it distributes nominated for over 100 2008 AVN awards, it came as no surprise that the Wicked AEE excitement peaked Saturday, January 12th, at the 25th Annual AVN Awards Show in the Mandalay Bay Events Center. In addition to featuring Kirsten Price as the host of the red carpet and jessica drake, Carmen Hart, and Randy Spears as presenters, the show also saw Stormy Daniels and Jesse Jane presenting an award together with mainstream radio personality Bubba The Love Sponge.

When she wasn’t presenting awards, Stormy was winning them, taking home both Best Sex Comedy for her blockbuster Operation Desert Stormy and the newly re-christened Jenna Jameson Crossover Star Of The Year award. The latter saw her giving particular thanks to veteran industry publicist Harry Weiss “for bringing so many important projects to me this year.”

Writer-Director-Performer Brad Armstrong was another big winner for the evening, snaring a richly deserved Best Actor - Video trophy for his excellent work in the epic production Coming Home, which he also directed. AVN also recognized Barrett Blade’s fine portrayal in the movie with a Best Supporting Actor - Video nod, and honored the project’s intricate multi-platform rollout with an award for Best Overall Marketing Campaign - Individual Project. Armstrong’s talent was also lauded in the film categories, with his sensual gothic fable The Craving winning both Best Art Direction - Film and Best Anal Sex Scene - Film. The evening also saw fellow contract director Michael Raven receiving attention, as his rich and varied career earned him an induction into the 2008 AVN Hall Of Fame. And AbbyWinters.Com, which signed a distribution deal with Wicked earlier this month, won Best Amateur Series for Intimate Moments.

As the awards gala thundered to a successful conclusion, industry insiders found themselves with a choice of two deliciously Wicked after parties to attend. The company sponsored a spectacular bash at trendy LAX inside the Luxor that was attended by jessica, Kaylani, Carmen, Kirsten, David Stanley, Brad Armstrong, Francois Clousot, Randy Spears, and Michael Raven and boasted appearances from such mainstream notables as Dave Navarro, Criss Angel, poker champ Dave Williams, and Transformers director Michael Bay (who’d been spotted earlier in the evening enjoying the awards show from one of the Wicked tables). Meanwhile, over at the Venetian, Stormy celebrated her Operation Desert Stormy and crossover award victories with her own sizzling post-awards soiree at the top-rated Tao.

From the board room to the red carpet, from the convention floor to the VIP sections of Las Vegas’ most notorious hotspots, the ladies and gentlemen of Wicked Pictures made the most of the 2008 Adult Entertainment Expo, the largest event of its kind in the world.
