LOS ANGELES CA - (JANUARY 31, 2007 DMPR) - In the wake of receiving the 15 trophies that made them the most awarded film studio at the 24th Annual AVN Awards, hosted by jessica drake in Las Vegas, Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that they have been recognized with 23 prestigious Empire Awards nominations.

A full nine mentions ahead of the next most-recognized studio, Wicked is the clear frontrunner in the recently announced noms, with The Visitors, Manhunters, and Curse Eternal all receiving nominations for Best Overall DVD.

The Visitors: With eight major noms, Michael Raven's acclaimed alien abduction thriller led the way as the company's most celebrated release (it also finished in a tie as the Empire Awards' most nominated title of the year).

The eerie AVN Award winner received Empire Awards recognition in the Best Overall DVD, Best Feature DVD, Best DVD Quality, Best DVD Menu Design, Best DVD Audio Quality, Best DVD Extras, Best DVD Commentary, and Viewers' Choice Award categories.

Manhunters: The film hit of the 2007 AVN Awards continues to earn acclaim!

Brad Armstrong's explosive AVN Award winner blasted through the Empire Awards competition with seven major nominations, including Best Feature DVD, Best Overall DVD, Best DVD Menu Quality, Best DVD Extras, Best DVD Audio Quality, Best DVD Commentary, and the Viewers' Choice Award.

FUCK And Curse Eternal : Earning Armstrong further Empire Awards acclaim, the elegant shot-on-film AVN Award winner FUCK received a Best All-Sex DVD nom.

Armstrong's best-selling Curse Eternal earned two Empire Awards noms, rounding out the trio of Wicked titles in the Best DVD Feature category, and receiving a nom for Best DVD Audio Quality!

Story of Yasmine And Sleepign with the Enemy: Wicked's longstanding relationship with Europe's Video Marc Dorcel continued to pay dividends for both companies, as the excellence of these two VMD titles, distributed domestically by Wicked, earned them both Best Foreign DVD noms.

Other nominations earned by the company included both Best DVD Compilation, Best DVD Compilation Company, and, as befits this year's leader in Empire Award nominations, Best Overall DVD Company.

The Empire Awards are selected and nominated each year by some of the country's top adult film critics (many of whom write for respected e-tailer Adult DVD Empire). The organization has been voting on the best of the best for seven years, and the awards have earned the respect of the adult industry and fans alike.
