LOS ANGELES CA - (January 6, 2007 DMPR ) - With the 2007 AVN Awards barely a week away, Canoga Park-based Wicked Pictures is congratulating the talented contract stars, directors, and technicians that have received awards and accolades from the other voting bodies who recognized the company's ongoing commitment to quality and excellence in 2006.

Earlier this week, Cyberspace Adult Video Reviews (www.cavr.com) bestowed a Critic's Choice award upon exotic contract seductress Carmen Hart, giving her MVP Of The Year status for her fine performances in 2006, and calling her a “superstar in the making." Stormy Daniels was recognized as the year's Director Of The Year (Features) for helming such popular couples product as Sleeping Around. In the technical arena, Wicked's HD DVD edition of The Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre, the first release of its kind in the industry, became a natural shoe-in for CAVR's HD DVD Of The Year award, with the site's organizers observing, “it might be the only HD DVD release [of 2006], but we wanted to recognize the importance of this new format.”

Adult DVD Reviews (www.adultdvdreviews.com), edited by noted industry reviewer Dr. Jay, has entered the awards arena as well, to celebrate performers this veteran critic sees as invaluable assets to the industry. To share his passion for these "must-see" girls -- and help his readers choose which movies to buy or rent -- Dr. Jay has begun an annual "baker's dozen" list of actresses to honor with special recognition. This year's winners include Wicked contract personality jessica drake, in recognition of her charismatic turns in such Wicked releases as Brad Armstrong's Manhunters and FUCK.

Finally, the Southern California arts and culture journal The Beverly Hills Outlook (www.bhoutlook.us) has posted its best-of-the-year awards for 2006, with several going to Wicked related personalities and releases, including Best Director (David Stanley, Just Like That), Best Actress (jessica drake, Tiffany's), Best Cinematographer (Francois Clousot, Curse Eternal), Best Lighting Design (Lance Boyle, Tiffany's), Best Editing (Eddie Door, FUCK) Best Art Direction (Rod Hopkins, FUCK), and Best Make-up Design (Crystal Leigh, Shelby Stevens, Red Velvet, and Nicole, FUCK).
