Adam & Eve @ Hustler San Diego

It is 7:45pm on Saturday night and I am at the Hustler store in downtown San Diego for the unveiling of Adam and Eve’s new toy line from Top Co Toys. Between promotional materials and advertising both Adam and Eve and Hustler have set out to ensure this event is a big success and they succeeded. Though when you combine Adam and Eve and Hustler with the likes of Nina Hartley, Alexandra Silk, Nikita Denise and Carmen Luvana can you really go wrong? They had large poster displays of Carmen’s two latest releases Rawhide and Stripped: Carmen, Nikita’s the Merger and Alexandra Silk’s Stud Hunters; as well as large displays of the women’s DVD’s and videos along with the toys from Adam and Eve’s new line.

There was already a crowd outside when I arrived and once the line was let in it didn’t get below 20 people long at any given time during the 2 hours I was there. What amazed me about the crowd tonight was the diversity it showed. While there are usually a fair number of women at the Hustler store signings they usually tend to be in their late teens to early twenties. Tonight there were quite a few older women as well due, for the most part, to Nina and Alexandra’s presence more than anything. This is not to take away from Carmen and Nikita who were obviously the favorites of a lot of people but they are still fairly new and can’t boast the fan base of someone like Nina and Alexandra who has been around for a while. Everything was on track to match the 350 people that lined up on Thursday night at the Hustler Hollywood store. The final tally was not available as I am writing this.

Even though the last of the women arrived at 7:45pm they didn’t come out to start the signing till about 8:10pm and by then the line for autographs went almost all the way to the back of the store. By the time the first raffle for a goodie bag of toys magazines and movies was held at 9 pm a good 120 people had already been seen and the women just kept them all coming. This is not to say they rushed them out the door however. Each one received some special attention from the ladies and some got more attention then others (as you can tell in some of the pictures). While Nina, Alexandra and Nikita may be considered old pros at this Carmen was showing that she wasn’t quite used to all the attention as she was having trouble not busting out into a big grin every time someone complimented her on her attire or wanted to take her picture. I have a few good examples of her more amusing moments but I promised I wouldn’t publish those.

All in all I must say that this event was probably one of the most smoothly run and successful ones I have been to in a while. I can't wait to see what Hustler and Adam and Eve have in store for us next.
