Not the Cosbys XXX Wins AVN; Blockbuster Sequel Coming Feb 9th

(Hollywood, CA) Break out the colorful 1980s sweaters that made Cliff Huxtable of the Cosby Show so wholesome and funny because the porno version Not the Cosbys XXX just won big at the 2010 AVN Awards Show in Las Vegas and there’s a blockbuster sequel coming soon.

The award-winning, hilarious adult movie and the coming sequel were produced by X-Play and directed by Will Ryder and are not endorsed by Mr. Cosby or Carsey Werner Productions yet that didn’t stop the voters from loving this tribute parody and bestowing it with their top prize for Best Parody at the 2010 AVN Awards Show which took place at the Pearl Theater in the Palms Hotel & Casino.

Cosby look-alike Thomas Ward is so amazing that he walked away with the AVN trophy for Best Non Sex Performance for his spot-on portrayal of the Jell-O Pudding king which by the way was the first time he had ever appeared in an adult movie.

“I was really hoping the movie would win but I can’t believe I won the other award too. Next thing you know I’m on stage in front of the entire adult industry with my co-stars and producers,” he gushed shortly after the show. “I dreamt this would happen,” the Detroit born comedian said.

Dreams apparently do come true and because the movie is such a huge blockbuster at retail, X-Play and LFP Video are already putting the finishing touches on a big sequel that is scheduled to be in stores February 9th titled Not the Cosbys XXX 2.

Hustler/ LFP sales manager David Diamond had a lot to say about the X-Play spoof. “Our customers love Not the Cosbys XXX and I really love these X-Play movies because every single one of them is a top-seller. Will Ryder creates some amazing flicks and I can’t wait to see the sequel of Not the Cosbys XXX because I hear it’s absolutely fantastic but what else would we expect from Will Ryder?”

Will Ryder picked up the 2010 AVN Director of the Year Award while Not the Cosbys XXX added to a list of impressive credentials that already includes the 2009 NightMoves Best Comedy/Parody Award and the 2009 XCritic Porn Movie of the Year honor. Misty Stone plays Denise Huxtable was also an AVN finalist for Female Performer of the Year. She currently stars on Cinemax’ Co-ed Confidential and reprises her role in Not the Cosbys XXX 2.

The popular website XCritic.com had this to say about the move. “We consider Not the Cosbys XXX the best porn movie of 2009 period. Not only is this landmark porn parody significant as an example of the best of the best in porn parodies, but it's also the first time a porn with a predominantly black cast has broken through to such acclaim and award.”
