November 30, 2010 --- CHATSWORTH, Calif. --- Adult studios New Sensations and Digital Sin received a combined 93 nominations for the 2011 AVN Awards.  Respected throughout the adult and mainstream industries as a leading producer in high quality XXX parodies, the studios leading 64 nominations in the genre substantiated the reputation. The Big Lebowski: A XXX Parody received 15 nominations, while The Sex Files 2: A Dark XXX Parody, the sequel to last year’s Best Parody award recipient, received 14 nominations.  In 2010 New Sensations also demonstrated its diversity and originality with its acclaimed line, The Romance Series. The Romance Series’ 11 AVN nominations demonstrate its significant impact on the female and couples market.  Always at the forefront of technology, New Sensations was honored with 3 of the total 5 nominations in both the Best 3D Release and Best Interactive DVD categories.  The outstanding 93 AVN nominations help define one of New Sensations’ most successful years.

The Romance Series’ unique perspective towards filming sex scenes led to its 11 AVN nominations.  Passion is promoted over acrobatics, with an emphasis on realistic positions.  The camera angles are artistic, equally substantiating the beauty of the bodies, as the act of sex itself.  Additionally, the script lends to well-developed characters, who viewers are able to identify with.  An investment in the characters automatically makes the sex scenes more accessible and more intense.  Awakening to Love is up for Best Feature, while the series is nominated for Best New Series.

If 2010 was the year of the 3D adult movie, then New Sensations led the way.  Its distribution of Funky Monkey’s movies further established the studio as an early adopter of innovative technology. 3D MILF Memoirs, Octopussy 3-D: A XXX Parody and Porn Star Fantasies 3D are each nominated for Best 3D Release.  In addition, Digital Sin was the most awarded interactive adult studio, with My Plaything receiving Best Interactive DVD nominations for its Audrey Bitoni, Lexi Belle and Gianna volumes.
