Not Charlie’s Angels XXX Thrusts James Bartholet into Award Contention as Will Ryder Begs Him to Keep His Pants On

James Brown might have been the hardest working man in show business but funnyman James Bartholet is right up there at the top of the list of best actors working in porn movies these days.  In fact his performance as Bosley in the upcoming Not Charlie’s Angels XXX porn parody might finally earn him a coveted AVN award next January for best non-sex performance.

“I can’t bear to look at James naked,” joked director Will Ryder when asked why he doesn’t put his ‘go-to’ man into sex scenes with his gorgeous actresses. 
 
“I know he’s starting to do sex scenes but I prefer to think of James as a fantastic non-sex actor so as far as I’m concerned X-Play will continue to hire him to play these fabulous and beloved roles but he’s not allowed to touch the naked broads at least not while naked on our set,” Ryder continued with his good-natured assault.
 
“I really enjoyed working on Not Charlie's Angels XXX,” Bartholet fired back.  “Too bad they couldn’t get Axel Braun to direct it,” he added in a hilarious volley that is standard procedure whenever the two industry veterans get together.
 
“No really, the whole project looks great and is true to the original television program that I used to watch week after week on ABC with Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith.”
 
“I don’t think James means that he actually sat there and watched it with Farrah, Kate and Jaclyn in his living room like they were sitting on his sofa,” Ryder slammed in before all comic hell broke loose.   
 
“Truth be told, Bartholet has carved out quite a resume in both the mainstream entertainment industry including a stint on General Hospital and in the adult movie business but it’s his hilarious and perfectly detailed performances in porn parodies that have allowed him to shine.” 
 
“Will Ryder gives me a lot of room to embellish on the character, and we always have fun working together,” Bartholet reflected on what is sure to be one of the biggest blockbuster porn movies of the year when it comes out September 30th from X-Play distributed by Digital Sin. 
 
“I get to do some funny little side characters with the Bosley role as you will see when they go undercover to solve the big mystery.”
 
Bartholet joins a spectacular cast that includes superstars Sunny Leone and Andy San Dimas along with newcomer Lexi Swallow as the three beautiful angels.  The movie also stars the gorgeous Heather Starlet, Breanne Benson, Madison Ivy, Cassandra Cruz, Vicky Chase, Alana Evans, Kaitlin Rush, Marcus London, Dirty Harry, Eric Swiss, Chris Evans, Eric John, Seth Gamble, Chad Diamond and Freddie Boom Ba.

The fifty year old character actor should be in contention for an award for best non-sex performer when the industry gets together in Las Vegas next January for the annual AVN Awards Show.  Last year standup comic Thomas Ward won for his amazing portrayal of Cliff Huxtable in Not® the Cosbys XXX.  
 
“James has still not recovered from that one,” Ryder joked.   
 
“If James wins I will break down and offer him a sex role with the girl of his dreams in our next movie and pay him James Deen rates,” Ryder promised.
